ARTIST NOTES: Acrylic paint, acrylic ink, water colour crayons, water colour, spray paint & acrylic ink pen on stretched canvas ready to hang. Recently I participated in a workshop on different sketching methods. Wild cats were our muse. The week ended with myself having a strong desire to create a painting inspired by the same subject. Intuitive layers of painting, mark making, sgraffito, glazing started to create the world for my young leopard to reside in. Layers of spray painted stencils (designed and created by me) helped transfer my thoughts onto my canvas. I slowly started to create my leopard in layers then applied a little more spray painted foliage to enhance the jungle vibe. This whimsical piece would add so much charm to your chosen space. Keeping with the whimsy feel I have wrapped my painting around the canvas edges. Signed on the front. Please check artwork dimensions as in situ photos for display purposes only.

ARTIST BIO

Rosemary’s artistic journey is a delightful adventure that showcases the power of creativity. From a young age, she found joy in artistic pursuits, but it wasn’t until her retirement, amid the quiet of countless covid lockdowns, that she truly reconnected with her passion for art.

With an eclectic style that celebrates whimsy, Rosemary’s paintings are a vibrant reflection of her playful spirit. Rather than sticking to a rigid plan, she lets her creativity flow, allowing each piece to reveal itself organically. As she layers colors and textures, her work takes on a life of its own, resulting in captivating pieces that invite viewers into her imaginative world.
Originally working solely with acrylics on canvas, Rosemary has since embraced an exciting variety of materials. Now, her mixed media artworks bring together paint, ink, soft pastels, oil sticks, and collage, transforming her creations into multidimensional expressions of her vision.
At the heart of Rosemary’s art is a simple yet powerful motivation: it makes her happy! The joy she feels while painting shines through in every piece she creates, and sharing that joy with others has ignited her passion even further. With numerous pieces sold and a growing audience, Rosemary is driven to continue creating and sharing her artwork, ensuring that her vibrant imagination remains a central part of her life for years to come.
